Road Map for Using Inline Inspection Robot with Integrated Structural Light Sensor in Utility Lines

In this project we investigate the development of snake-like robot for gas pipeline inspection. The robot is integrated with a structural light sensor to capture the videos of the inner pipe wall as the robot travels. The videos are then processed to reconstruct the profile of the pipe and identify possible anomalies. This project focuses on the demonstration of the robotic system for 6-inch gas pipes, and it also aims to lay the groundwork for developing future robotic inspection systems that operate in 4-inch or even smaller pipes.
